3D Printing FAQ

What it costs, how long it takes, what we can print and how to send us your job.

Answers

Questions we are asked every week

Costs, materials, turnaround, file formats and delivery. If your question is not here, ask it on WhatsApp — a real person answers.

How much does 3D printing cost in Ghana?

Price depends on size, material and print time rather than on a flat per-piece rate. Small functional parts typically start in the low tens of cedis, while a detailed portrait bust runs into the hundreds. Send a photo or an STL on WhatsApp and you will get an exact quote the same day.

How long does a 3D print take?

Most small prints and digital files are delivered within 24 hours of order confirmation. Larger busts or multi-part assemblies take two to five days, and custom sculpting adds a day or two for design and approval before printing starts.

Can you make a bust from photographs?

Yes — portrait busts from photos are our signature service. Two or three clear photographs (front, three-quarter and side) are usually enough. You approve renders of the sculpt before we print.

What file formats do you accept and supply?

We print from STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP files. Models purchased from our catalogue are supplied as STL and 3MF, with STEP included for engineering parts so you can modify them in your own CAD software.

What materials can you print in?

PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, flexible TPU, nylon and carbon-fibre-filled nylon on FDM machines, plus resin (SLA) for the highest-detail work such as jewellery masters and miniatures.

Do you deliver outside Accra?

Yes. We deliver finished prints anywhere in Ghana, including Tema, Kasoa, Kumasi, Takoradi, Cape Coast and Tamale. Digital CAD files are delivered worldwide within minutes.

Can you print a replacement part for a machine?

Very often, yes. Send a photograph of the broken part next to a ruler along with its key dimensions. We remodel it in CAD, choose a material that suits the load and heat it will see, and print a replacement — usually far faster than importing one.

Do you do robotics and factory automation, or only printing?

Both. Alongside printing we design robotic arms, grippers, drone frames and complete mechatronic assemblies, and we build jigs, fixtures and production tooling for factories and workshops in Ghana.

Do I own the model you design for me?

For commissioned custom work, the design is made for you and you receive the files. Models bought from the catalogue are licensed for your own printing and personal use, not for resale of the digital file.

What if the print arrives damaged or wrong?

Every piece is inspected before it leaves the studio. If a print has a production defect, we reprint it free of charge.

Can I see a model before I buy it?

Yes. Several of our busts have interactive 3D viewers on this site — you can rotate, zoom and relight the real geometry in your browser before ordering.

How do I start a project?

Message the studio on WhatsApp at +233 54 090 6817 with a photo, sketch or description. You will get advice, a price and a lead time — usually within the hour on weekdays.
